Is Tiny Beacon replacing the mobile app? No. Tiny Beacon is a mobile app first, always. This site is where you read about it and download it.
Is there a web dashboard?Yes. Parents can sign in to a read-only web dashboard to see their family’s current status. Changes and responses still happen in the mobile app.
Is Tiny Beacon really built in Malaysia? Yes. Designed and operated from Kuala Lumpur by a Malaysian criminologist and a Malaysian broadcaster. The engineering is local too.
How does Tiny Beacon handle consent?Every data category requires active, revocable consent. The child can revoke consent in one tap from the app — collection stops immediately and that child's retained data is deleted right away. Otherwise you choose how long Tiny Beacon keeps each child's data: 30 days by default, adjustable per child. In supervised editions, threat-flagged captures are kept only while needed and deleted automatically when they expire.
How long does Tiny Beacon keep flagged content? The public App Store and Google Play builds do not collect screenshots or screen content. Screen-content understanding is limited to separately distributed supervised family editions, and families are informed before opting in.
What does “encrypted at rest” mean exactly? In the public app, account, profile, consent, and family-safety data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
