Your parent asked you to install Tiny Beacon. Here is what it actually does, in plain words, and what you can do about it.
What your parent can see
Tiny Beacon can help your family use screen-time limits, safe zones, and emergency alerts. Your parent can see the information those features share. The app from the App Store or Google Play does not read what is on your screen.
What your parent cannot see
The public app does not take screenshots or read your games, chats, homework, or photos. There are separate supervised family editions that can understand screen content. Your family will be told how that works before choosing whether to use one.
You can turn it off
If you don't want the tool watching anymore, open the app and tap “I want to stop.” Your parent will know you turned it off so you can talk about it. That's on purpose — not as a punishment, but because the whole point is you and your parent working together.
A note to your parent
If you're a parent reading this with your child: this page exists because we think your child deserves to know exactly what Tiny Beacon does. The same alert they would see, you see. No secrets either way.
